We all remember the Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson movie called Anger Management where Nicholson tries to teach Sandler techniques that will help him control his anger. Now in reality anger management is never something to laugh at. In fact it can be a problem for people who have anger issues.
Every year there are thousands of instances where Americans suffer from anger issues. How can a person go about finding the technique that will help them?
There are many anger management techniques that one can apply in their life to help control there anger issues. One of the easiest ones to practice is trying to come in agreement with the person you are angry at. In other words the anger you feel towards someone will remain in you unless you talk to the person that made you mad. Another example of anger management techniques used is the use of meditation. What is recommended that you do is to sit and meditate along with using deep breathing to control your body and relax your mind.

How the direct method works is, the person talks calmly with the person they are having anger issues with. It does not mean you shout or hurt the person; it merely means you speak like two adults to each other and let them know exactly how you feel inside.
Another method that is also a great method is the Honorable method. Many people struggle to accomplish this method at first. With this method it means you take responsibility for what you have done and you no longer make excuses for what you have done. So no more blaming others for your actions! This is a hard method to accomplish because many with anger issues have trouble admitting self failure or admitting they are lacking in certain area’s of there life.
The focused method of anger management is simply where you stick to the issue at hand, instead of bringing up issues that are not relevant to the issues at hand. This anger management technique is particularly useful in dealing with a person who may be trying to get you to see thing a different way than you currently see them.
Listening is another technique for anger management. Stopping to listen to all that others have to say can help prevent an anger episode. Once a person gets angry, it is harder to hear what other people have to say. They tend to feel threatened.
These anger management techniques will only work for the people who truly apply them. It’s easy to use them when you’re a little mad, but you will truly overcome your anger issues when your able to remain calm in the most heated moment when someone has really ticked you off.
People need to realize that when dealing with people with anger issues there is a sense of duel responsibility that both people share. The reason for this is because it is up to the person with the issue to keep their anger under control while it is the other persons responsibility to not keep provoking the person in question. Anger management is an ongoing process that takes time to master and it is a method .
